How many states have to be delegitimized, how many cities have to be blown into graveyards, how many millions of innocent people have to be killed, how many beautiful civilizations have to be razed to the ground before we can feel secure about our existence?

We humans are no longer relevant to our own existence. Forget all the music, poetry, and art and all that we breathe in as beauty of our soul; all that is irrelevant too.

With deep grief and anguish, today with remnants of hope so fragile and teetering, today in a flood of resigned tears for the colossal loss of what we could have been and what slips away from our fate with every moment, today for the first time I find poetry meaningless and unattractive. Today, I find the words lifeless. For whom and for what shall my heart sing?

I pray for peace and safety of all in path of danger. I pray for all who are mighty and hold power over your lot to see and seek the way of peace. So that on your day you may have an iota of redemption to fall back upon. And may mercy find you too.

Deeply saddened by the escalations and direct involvement of US in the war. At any point if we can find the path back to peace and sanity, that is always a blessing.

Every age in history has its fair share of conflicts and violence, and that is not changing. It is built into our existence by design in a self-fulfilling way. We have one lifetime to act out, however we continue to build upon the human karma forever. Let us not miss the perspective that today’s events are linked to centuries behind us.

We have had better and more peaceful times in our past. Brief windows. I still believe there are alternate and better ways of living. Our insatiable greed and quest for power over others are the root causes of this misery.

Damn ego! Only the one who has created God, can aspire to be God, and that is humans.

The three branches of the government are designed to be independent and act as ‘checks and balances’ to each other. If the Judicial branch rules in favour of the Executive branch to empower it to make exceptions or outright violations of existing laws without and before legislative deliberations and amendments, and enjoy immunity while doing so, then in my mind the Legislative branch gets severely compromised and is no longer equal among the three. I can see the point of Judicial branch trying to uphold the Executive powers and independence, but if that comes at the cost of eroding Legislative branch to a lower grade, then we no longer have the independence of and ‘checks and balances’ between the three branches.

You only need a few things for a good life – patience, gratitude, and kindness. The rest of it will automatically take care of itself and you, whether you like it or not. So, focus on the tools you have at hand and practise; do not think of the outcome. But, acting with these tools and choosing the reasons to act are important.

I have still not graduated to the ‘virtue of non-action’ though I see how it can be meaningful and may even be ‘same as action.’ I find it strictly spiritual in nature. Action is still a foundational manifestation of life, required for its survival and evolution.

What is happening in Gaza now and what have happened in numerous instances in history,
like more recent Nazi Germany, are inexplicable and not defendable by any framework of ethics. Still, why it happens time and again is because life has no moral compass. It is supremely neutral to all events if the outcome supports its existence. Our species plays out as one of many actors in that process, though this is not to say we are not responsible and accountable for all our follies and evil.

What it means is the solution is only with us and within us, how we choose and live a good life. Nothing else, be it the planet, the climate, the protein molecules, life, other species, and all others actors have any interest in helping the human situation. We have been able to control a lot of things except ourselves, and it is only a matter of time before all these controls and dominance will be taken away from us, and it will be too late by then.

On an article by Dr. William Brown The Memory Field: Could Quantum Biology Involve Accessing Information Stored in Space Itself? – The International Space Federation (ISF)

Concepts like we all are the same consciousness, the realm of subconscious, the flow of artistic muse, intuition, telepathy etc. will be more explainable. Still, visual memory, which this article references, in terms of data of visual frames is storing and processing information; 0s and 1s.

What about memory of a feeling, sentiment? Are our feelings also stored outside us in a similar quantum fashion? My hypothesis would be ‘yes;’ else where do words like ‘empathy’ ‘vicarious’ come from? So far, ‘feeling’ has not been codified in the same binary fashion as information and hence the ‘gap called soul’ remains as an enigma.

But we are able to remember how we felt and we are able to invoke similar feelings in us (not exact but close enough) by replaying it. And, the ‘feeling’ has a recency and frequency to it. That is why we say ‘time heals everything.’ This treatment of ‘feeling’ points toward some codified asset of feeling that can be stored and accessed.

And if this can be solved, then the soul vanishes and we become pure mathematical models, which in turn through its maturity and constraints determine the knowable universe to us. Thus the ‘manifestation of perfection in us’ of Swami Vivekananda.

Did we at some point of our evolution know this? If we graduated to understanding our self as a model and the workings of it, then would there be any charm or attachment left to live life the way we do? Perhaps, this explains why our ancestors had the life stages of Vanaprastha and Sanyasa or compete renunciation. Different civilizations had different versions of this, and our epics have clues in them. Somewhere, we lost that knowledge and are seeking it again.

Good for us; as it helps to keep us busy and engaged. Let us just not kill each other so much to prove superiority of the models or rather the evil training and manifestation of the models.

Call it the fun part, or a serious introspection and awareness of any artist’s journey, it is to study the self, its evolution arc, and the relationship with the creative process and the art form that is produced. This journey itself over a lifetime culminates into the artist and her life as work(s) of art. To undertake this observation and study without any filter, influence, bias, and any other external factor is perhaps the best. But if you would like some reference material and guidance, then I suggest you read this book, ‘Art and Artist – Creative Urge and Personality Development’ by Otto Rank.
